Ένα 20χρονο μοντέλο έχει γίνει ιδιαίτερα δημοφιλές στην Κίνα χάρη στο απίστευτο ύψος των ποδιών της, που αγγίζει τα 1,15 μέτρα.

Η εντυπωσιακή Ντονγκ Λέι από την επαρχία Ανχουέι στην Ανατολική Κίνα είναι τελείως διαφορετική από τις κοπέλες της ηλικίας της, αφού έχει ύψος 1,80. Σε μία χώρα που προφανώς δεν φημίζεται για τις ψηλές της κοπέλες, ξεχωρίζει σαν την μύγα μέσ’ στο γάλα, γεγονός που έχει ευνοήσει ιδιαίτερα την καριέρα της.

Dong Lei, who is 20 years old, decided after leaving school to study to be a nursery school teacher, where, standing 1.82 metres tall (almost 6 foot), she towered over the kids. And her impressive height in China was in part due to the fact that her legs alone are 1.15 metres (3 foot 9 inches) in length. The average height of women in China is 1.57 metres (5 foot 2 inches). She said: "My teachers mentioned that I should have tried modelling when they noticed my really long legs, and when I looked into it I realised that I might even have the longest legs in the world." She said that she had found that Nadja Auermann, 44, the famous German model, had set a Guinness World Record due to her long legs being a staggering 1.12 meters, but it would still mean that they are shorter than Dong's legs. And after putting herself forward at a local model agency she quickly found herself snapped up for modelling work where her impressive figure quickly made her very much in demand. Since then, she said she had not looked back. The model from the city of Wuhu, in Central China’s Anhui province, clearly has a head start over others with her impressive legs, and only recently she was in a heated debate on Chinese social network Weibo about whether she should get insurance. There was no comment on the matter from the model herself. Nor did she comment on the claim in local media that she was planning on registering her legs as the longest of any model with the Guinness Book of World Records.

Μάλιστα, όπως αναφέρει η Daily Mail, μετά την προβολή του show δέχτηκε προτάσεις να ασφαλίσει τα πανύψηλα πόδια της, που πιστεύεται ότι θα της αποφέρουν πολλά κέρδη στο μέλλον.
